Store Import
Store Import teaches your chatbot what you sell. Visitors can ask "Do you have this in stock?" or "How much is the blue one?" and get an answer based on your real catalog.
Open it from Store Import in the left-hand menu. You can connect up to 3 stores.
What the chatbot learns
For each product: its name, link, price (and the lowest price if there are several options), whether it is on sale, whether it is in stock, brand, type, available options and a short description. For Shopify, prices include your store's currency.
Connect a store
- Choose Shopify or WooCommerce as the Platform.
- Enter a Name for your own reference.
- Enter your Store URL, for example
https://myshop.com. - Tick the chatbots that should know these products. At least one is required.
- Click Connect and import.
The first import starts straight away. No API keys are needed because HelpNest reads the same public product list your online shop already provides.
Password-protected, private or "coming soon" stores cannot be imported because their product list is not public. The same store cannot be connected twice.
Understanding the status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting to start. |
| Importing… | Currently reading products and training. |
| Imported | Done. The product count and last update time are shown. |
| Failed | Something went wrong. The reason is shown. Your previous import stays live. |
Up to 2,000 products are imported per store. If your catalog is larger, the first 2,000 are used and a note tells you.
Keeping prices and stock current
Your catalog is refreshed automatically every night while your subscription is active. If nothing has changed, nothing is re-trained. Click Import now to refresh immediately, for example right after a price change.
Removing a store
Click Remove. The store and the product knowledge it created are deleted.
If you see "Your knowledge base limit is reached", remove some knowledge you no longer need or upgrade your plan, then click Import now.
