Integrations (Discord)
The Discord integration posts your chatbot conversations into a Discord channel so your team can watch what is happening without opening HelpNest.
Open Integrations in the left-hand menu and choose the Discord tab.
How it works
Every chat is posted to your channel:
- New chats
- AI replies
- Hand-off requests
- Your own replies
Note
Discord is one-way. HelpNest posts to Discord, but messages you type in Discord are not read back. To reply as a human, use the HelpNest dashboard, Slack or Telegram.
Connect Discord
- In Discord, open your Channel Settings → Integrations → Webhooks.
- Click New Webhook, choose the channel, then Copy Webhook URL.
- In HelpNest, open Integrations → Discord.
- Paste the Incoming webhook URL.
- Leave Send chats to Discord ticked.
- Click Connect Discord.
Manage the connection
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Send test message | Posts a test message to the channel to confirm the webhook works. |
| Disconnect | Stops posting chats to the channel. |
The webhook URL is stored encrypted, and it is the only thing this integration stores. To cut the connection off at once, revoke the webhook in Discord as well.
