Special Provider Notes
Some providers have requirements beyond API keys. For credential tables of Twilio, SSL Wireless, Msg91, and Vonage, see Admin Configuration.
Msg91
Msg91 uses template IDs for each notification type. Before enabling a notification toggle, the corresponding template ID must be saved in the credentials — the system validates this and blocks saving if a template ID is missing.
Template ID Fields
- OTP template ID — for OTP login messages.
- User registration template IDs — user and admin variants.
- Order notification template IDs — user and admin variants.
- New tenant template IDs — user and admin variants (landlord).
Configuration Steps
- Create templates in your Msg91 dashboard and get them DLT-approved.
- Copy the template IDs.
- Enter them in the Msg91 configuration modal.
- Save the configuration.
- Enable the corresponding notification toggles.
Fetching Remote Templates (Msg91)
Msg91 and WhatsApp Business providers require pre-approved message templates registered with telecom authorities (the DLT system in India). You cannot send custom text outside these approved templates.
How to Fetch Your Approved Templates
- Register and get your templates approved in the Msg91 dashboard.
- In SMS Gateway Settings, click Get Templates.
- The system fetches your approved template list from Msg91.
- Select the appropriate template for each notification trigger.
If you are not using Msg91, this step is not required.
WhatsApp Driver
The WhatsApp driver sends messages via the WhatsApp Business API instead of traditional SMS. WhatsApp templates must be approved by the provider before use — ensure approval before configuring the mapping.
Each notification type (Login OTP, New User, New Order, New Shop) can be mapped to a specific WhatsApp-approved template. When a WhatsApp provider is the active gateway, the settings page fetches the template list from the provider's API and presents a dropdown for mapping each event.
