Overview

The SMS Gateway module is a core plugin that enables the Nazmart platform to send automated SMS and WhatsApp messages for key events. It provides a unified interface for 25+ SMS providers across different regions.

Key Features

• Multi-provider support: 25+ providers across Bangladesh, India, Global, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, plus a WhatsApp driver. See Supported Providers.
• Single active provider: only one provider can be active at a time; activating a new one deactivates the previous one (credentials are kept for all providers).
• Dual context: separate configurations for landlord (platform admin) and tenant (shop admin).
• OTP verification: built-in 6-digit single-use OTP for phone login with configurable expiry. See Enable/Disable OTP.
• Customizable templates: every trigger has its own message template with @variables. See Message Templates.
• Test SMS: built-in test sender to verify configuration before going live. See Test SMS and Troubleshooting.

How It Works

1. Provider configuration: admin configures credentials for one or more SMS providers (see Admin Configuration).
2. Provider activation: only one provider can be active at any time.
3. Event triggering: platform events (registration, orders, tenant signup, OTP requests) trigger SMS notifications per the enabled toggles (see SMS Notifications).
4. Message delivery: the active provider delivers messages to the configured recipients.

• Order confirmation: order details to customers, admin notifications.
• Tenant signup (landlord): confirmation to new shop owners, admin notifications.
• OTP verification: one-time passwords for secure phone login at /otp/login.
