Overview
A webhook is a simple way for two systems to talk to each other. When something happens on your marketplace, the Webhooks plugin automatically sends a message to a web address you choose — for example your accounting software, your CRM, or a team chat tool.
Examples
- New user signs up → notify your sales team in a chat channel.
- An order is paid → record the sale in your accounting software.
- A withdrawal is requested → alert your finance team.
- A subscription is activated → grant access to an external membership system.
What you can set
- Choose which events trigger a message.
- Point each webhook at its own web address.
- Use a shared secret so the receiving system can verify the message really came from you.
- See a log of every message sent, including failures, and retry failed messages.
What you need
To receive webhooks, the other system must provide a web address (often called an "endpoint URL") that can accept messages. If you are not connecting to another system, you can leave this plugin off.
