CSV Import and Export
Import Products via CSV
Tenant Admin → Product → Import
Use CSV import to add many products at once without filling each form manually.
Step 1 — Get the template
Click Download Sample CSV for a file with 3 example products showing the correct format, or Download Empty Template for a blank file with just the column headers.
CSV column reference
| Column | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
name | Yes | Product name |
slug | Yes | URL slug — unique, letters, numbers, hyphens only |
description | Yes | Full description, min 10 characters |
sale_price | Yes | Selling price, numeric |
sku | Yes | Unique stock keeping unit |
summary | No | Short description, max 500 characters |
status_id | No | 1 = Published, 2 = Draft (default 2) |
stock_count | No | Starting inventory quantity |
uom | No | Unit of measurement, for example "1 pcs" |
image_url | No | Full URL to product image |
Step 2 — Upload and map fields
- Click Choose CSV File and select your file.
- The system auto-detects the delimiter — comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe.
- A preview of the first 5 rows is displayed.
- Use the field mapping dropdowns to match your CSV columns to the correct database fields.
- Click Import.
Step 3 — Background processing
Large imports run as a background job. You receive an email report when the import completes showing how many products were created and which rows had errors.
Common import errors:
- Duplicate slug — change the slug for that row.
- Duplicate SKU — each product needs a unique SKU.
- Missing required field — name, description, sale_price, or sku is empty.
- Invalid price — non-numeric value in sale_price.
Export a Product to CSV
Product List → Export icon (download icon)
Exports a single product as a CSV file for backup or editing — name, slug, summary, description, cost, regular price, sale price, SKU, quantity, weight, barcode.
The file is named product_{slug}_{date}.csv and opens correctly in Excel (BOM-encoded). You can re-import the exported file after editing it.
