Provider Details

Detailed breakdown of what each provider checks and how it calculates risk scores.


IpQualityScore (Global)

Analyzes the order's IP address against a global threat database.

What it checks:

  • VPN / Proxy / Tor network usage
  • Bot activity indicators
  • Recent abuse history
  • High-risk country flags

Risk score: 0–100 (taken directly from IpQualityScore's fraud score)


SEON (Global)

Analyzes IP address, email, and phone number using digital footprint analysis and AML screening.

What it checks:

  • Email validity, domain age, social media presence
  • Phone number carrier and type (VOIP, prepaid)
  • IP reputation and geolocation risk
  • AML watchlist screening

Risk score: 0–100. Verdicts: Approve, Review, or Decline.


MaxMind minFraud (Global)

Scores transactions using MaxMind's global fraud database combining IP, email, billing, and payment signals.

What it checks:

  • IP address risk score
  • Email address risk (disposable, free provider, etc.)
  • Billing address verification
  • Payment processor mismatch

Risk score: 0.01–99 (representing fraud probability percentage)


Ravelin (Europe)

ML-based fraud scoring designed for European e-commerce. Sends customer and order data and receives an action recommendation.

What it checks:

  • Device fingerprint and IP reputation
  • Billing address anomalies
  • Customer behavioral patterns
  • Order velocity signals

Risk score: 0.0–1.0, scaled to 0–100. Verdicts: Approve, Review, or Deny.


Bureau (India)

OAuth2-authenticated fraud intelligence platform for Indian e-commerce. Checks phone, email, and IP against Indian fraud databases.

What it checks:

  • Phone number fraud signals (SIM swap, OTP bypass risk)
  • Email domain reputation
  • IP address geolocation and proxy detection
  • Order amount anomalies

Risk score: 0–100. Verdicts: Allow, Review, or Block.


BdCourier (Bangladesh)

Checks the customer's phone number against courier delivery history in Bangladesh. Particularly effective for COD fraud detection.

What it checks:

  • Total deliveries vs. successful deliveries
  • Delivery success ratio (low ratio = high risk)
  • History of cancelled parcels
  • Active fraud reports associated with the phone number

Risk score: Calculated as 100 - success_ratio. If fraud reports exist, score is forced to 100.


FraudDB (Bangladesh)

Checks phone number and email against a Bangladesh-specific fraud database maintained by merchants.

What it checks:

  • Phone number listed in fraud reports
  • Email address in fraud database
  • Fraud flag from the database

Risk score: Based on API response. Forced to 90+ if marked as fraud.


Smile Identity (Africa)

AML name screening against global and regional sanctions/PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) lists. Best suited for high-value orders.

What it checks:

  • Customer name against AML watchlists
  • Sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU, etc.)
  • PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) lists

Risk score: 25 points per AML match found, capped at 100.


Youverify (Africa)

Identity and address verification platform for African markets (primarily Nigeria). Cross-checks billing info against government records.

What it checks:

  • Address validation against national records
  • Phone number identity matching
  • Customer blacklist status

Risk score: Additive based on mismatch signals — address mismatch (+30), phone mismatch (+20), unverifiable identity (+40), blacklisted (+100).


Uqudo (Middle East)

Transaction risk scoring platform for the MENA region.

What it checks:

  • Transaction amount and currency anomalies
  • Customer IP geolocation risk
  • Device fingerprint signals
  • Regional fraud pattern matching

Risk score: 0–100 with risk levels: Low, Medium, or High.


Forter (Americas)

Real-time order decisioning for North/Latin American e-commerce. Returns a binary action recommendation.

What it checks:

  • Full order context (billing, shipping, payment method)
  • Customer account history
  • Device fingerprint and IP risk
  • Cross-merchant fraud network data

Risk score: Mapped from Forter action — Approve (5), Not Reviewed (30), Review (60), Decline (95).


ClearSale (Americas)

Brazil-specialized fraud scoring, widely used in Latin American e-commerce.

What it checks:

  • Billing and shipping data consistency
  • Payment method risk
  • Order pattern analysis against Brazilian fraud database

Risk score: Mapped from ClearSale status — APA (Approved) = low risk, APM (Manual Review) = 60+, RPA/RPM (Rejected) = 85+.
