Overview

The Announcements plugin lets you put a message in front of everyone who visits your site, without touching your theme or writing any code. You can show it as a slim bar across the top of the page or as a pop-up box.

What you can do

• Pick a style — a top bar or a centered pop-up.
• Schedule it — choose the dates the message should appear.
• Choose who sees it — everyone, only logged-in users, or only guests.
• Let visitors dismiss it — once dismissed, it stays hidden until you publish a new message.

When to use it

• Announcing a new feature or launch.
• Showing a maintenance or holiday notice.
• Sharing a policy or terms update.
• Running a limited-time promotion.

This is not a cookie-consent tool. If you need to collect consent for cookies, use a dedicated consent banner instead.
