Setup

1. Create a Pesapal merchant account.
2. Get your consumer key and consumer secret from Pesapal.
3. Activate the Pesapal plugin.
4. Go to Admin → Pesapal.
5. Choose Sandbox (test) or Live.
6. Enter the consumer key and secret.
7. Copy the confirmation URL the plugin shows and register it with Pesapal if required.
8. Enable Pesapal in your checkout settings.
9. Place a small test order and refund it to confirm everything works.

Currency

Pesapal settles in the currencies it supports. If your display currency is different, the site converts the amount before charging. Always confirm the charged amount on the Pesapal receipt.

Good to know

• The confirmation URL must be reachable from the public internet for Pesapal to report back.
• A sandbox key will not settle real money. Switch to live only when you are ready.
