How to switch currencies as a user.

Switching Currency

Step 1: Locate Currency Switcher

The currency switcher appears in:

• Header — Top navigation bar
• Footer — Bottom of page
• Settings — User profile settings

Step 2: Select Currency

1. Click the currency dropdown
2. Browse available currencies
3. Select your preferred currency
4. Click to confirm

Step 3: Verify Change

1. All prices update immediately
2. Your selection is saved
3. Returns to your preferred currency on next visit

How Prices Are Converted

Conversion Formula

Display Price = Base Price × Conversion Rate

Example

Base Price: $100 USD
Selected Currency: EUR (Rate: 0.85)
Display Price: €85

Where Prices Are Affected

• Project listings — Package prices
• Job budgets — Job post budgets
• Service prices — Freelancer service rates
• Order totals — Checkout amounts
• Wallet balance — Wallet display
• Subscription prices — Plan costs

Important Notes

Payment Currency

• Display vs. Payment — Currency switcher affects display only
• Payment currency — Actual payment may be in base currency
• Conversion at checkout — Final amount converted at payment time

Price Accuracy

• Approximate — Displayed prices are estimates
• Actual amount — May vary at payment time
• Rate changes — Rates may update between display and payment

Tips

• Check before purchase — Verify final amount at checkout
• Use familiar currency — Choose currency you understand
• Update regularly — Rates may change over time
• Contact support — If you notice incorrect conversions

Troubleshooting

Currency Not Updating

1. Clear browser cache
2. Try a different browser
3. Check if currency is enabled
4. Contact support if issue persists

Wrong Conversion Rate

1. Report to admin
2. Check base currency setting
3. Verify rate configuration

Prices Not Displaying

1. Check if currency is enabled
2. Verify user permissions
3. Clear application cache
