Configuration

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Admin > AI Toolkit

Basic Setup

The AI Toolkit works without any configuration. All features are enabled by default with deterministic algorithms.

Optional AI Enhancement

To enable AI-powered enhancements:

Step 1: Configure API Endpoint

Set the OpenAI-compatible endpoint in your .env file:

OPENAI_API_KEY=your-api-key
OPENAI_API_BASE=https://api.openai.com/v1

Step 2: Enable AI Features

In Admin > AI Toolkit, enable:

  • AI Description Polish — Enhance generated descriptions
  • AI Profile Review — Improve review suggestions
  • AI Search Reranking — Better search results

Step 3: Test Connection

Click Test Connection to verify the API endpoint works.

Feature Configuration

Description Assistant

  • Auto-suggest — Enable/disable automatic suggestions
  • Template selection — Choose description templates
  • Length limits — Set minimum/maximum character counts

Profile Review

  • Scoring weights — Adjust category weights
  • Minimum score — Set threshold for suggestions
  • Improvement tips — Enable/disable detailed tips

Search Reranker

  • Boost factor — Adjust ranking boost (1-10)
  • Cache duration — Set result cache time
  • Fallback behavior — What happens when AI is unavailable

LinkedIn Integration

  • Client ID — LinkedIn App Client ID
  • Client Secret — LinkedIn App Client Secret
  • Scopes — Required LinkedIn API scopes
  • Auto-import — Enable/disable automatic profile import

Troubleshooting

AI Features Not Working

  • Verify API key is valid
  • Check API endpoint URL
  • Ensure sufficient API credits

LinkedIn Login Not Working

  • Verify LinkedIn App is approved
  • Check redirect URI configuration
  • Ensure required scopes are granted

Search Results Not Improving

  • Check if reranker is enabled
  • Verify search index is built
  • Clear search cache
