Configure the AI Engine matching and recommendation system.

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Admin > AiEngine > Matching Engine

Feature Toggles

Search Re-ranking

• Enable — Re-rank search results by relevance
• Priority — Hook priority (lower = earlier in chain)

Freelancer Recommendations

• Enable — Show freelancer recommendations on job pages
• Max results — Number of recommendations to show

Job Recommendations

• Enable — Show job recommendations for freelancers
• Max results — Number of recommendations to show

Related Items

• Enable — Show related items on detail pages
• Max results — Number of related items to show

Guided Recommendations

• Enable — Show "Refine with AI" button on listing pages
• Questions — Customize the questionnaire

Scoring Weights

Adjust the weight of each factor in the matching algorithm:

Adjusting Weights

1. Navigate to Admin > AiEngine > Matching Engine
2. Adjust weight values (0-100)
3. Click Save
4. Changes take effect immediately

Tips:

• Increase skill weight for better skill matching
• Increase rating weight for quality focus
• Increase budget weight for price-sensitive matching

AI Configuration (Optional)

API Endpoint

For enhanced matching, configure an OpenAI-compatible endpoint:

Features Requiring API

• Intent parsing — Better query understanding
• Re-ranking — AI-enhanced result ordering
• Recommendations — Smarter suggestions

Testing

Test Matching

1. Click Test Matching button
2. Enter a sample query
3. Review matching results
4. Adjust weights if needed

Test Recommendations

1. Select a job or freelancer
2. View generated recommendations
3. Verify relevance and accuracy

Performance

Caching

• Search results cached for 5 minutes
• Recommendations cached for 15 minutes
• Related items cached for 10 minutes

Cache Management

Clear cache via:

• Admin > AiEngine > Clear Cache
• Artisan command: php artisan cache:clear
