v4.0.0 Migration Guide
This guide is for users upgrading from Nazmart v3.x or earlier to v4.0.0 or later. This is a major system update with significant changes to the website design system, Page Builder structure, and purchase & payment flow.
🔴 Before You Update
Please make sure to complete these steps before upgrading:
- Take a full backup of your website files and database
- Ensure you can restore your previous version if needed
🔧 After Update – Troubleshooting
Website Not Opening / Server Error
Problem: Your website shows a server error or won't load at all after updating.
Solution:
- Contact your hosting provider and update PHP to 8.3 or higher (PHP 8.4 recommended)
- Verify the PHP version is correct before proceeding
Website Design Broken / Not Loading Properly
Problem: The website loads but the design is broken, styles are missing, or pages don't display correctly.
Solution:
- Go to: Admin Panel → General Settings → Cache Settings
- Click Clear Cache
- Refresh your browser and check if the issue is resolved
If the issue persists:
- Manually delete the cache directory:
/core/bootstrap/cache/* - Refresh your browser again
Frontend Broken but Admin Panel Works
Problem: The admin panel works fine, but the customer-facing website is broken.
Why: We introduced a completely new Page Builder system in v4.0.0, so old pages built with the previous builder are not compatible with the new one.
Solution (Required):
- Login to the Admin Panel
- Go to Pages
- Open each page one by one (Home, About, Contact, etc.)
- Remove all old content
- Rebuild the page using the new Page Builder widgets
- Click Save for each page
This manual rebuild is necessary for all existing pages.
Homepage Doesn't Match Demo
Problem: Your homepage looks different from the demo website.
Solution: The demo uses the new Page Builder system with updated widgets and sections. To match the demo:
- Recreate your homepage using the new Page Builder sections
- Use the updated widgets available in v4.0.0+
- Follow the new layout structure shown in the demo
Payment / Purchase Issues
Problem: Payment processing is not working or purchase flow is broken.
Solution:
- Clear the cache from the admin panel (Admin Panel → General Settings → Cache Settings → Clear Cache)
- Refresh your browser
- Try the purchase flow again
If the issue persists, contact support with details about the error message.
