Installation & Setup

Step 1: Install the Plugin

Follow the instructions in Install, Enable, Disable, Uninstall to install the AI Multilingual Plugin.

Step 2: Enable the Plugin

Once installed, enable the plugin through the Plugins management panel in the Admin Dashboard.

Step 3: Configure Languages

1. Go to Plugins > AI Multilingual > Settings
2. Select primary language (your default language)
3. Choose target languages for translation
4. Save configuration

Step 4: Enable Translations

1. Navigate to content that needs translation
2. Click Enable Translation for each language
3. Review and approve AI translations
4. Save translated content

Initial Configuration

Primary Language

Set your default language:

1. Go to AI Multilingual > Settings
2. Select Primary Language
3. This language serves as source for all translations
4. Save settings

Target Languages

Choose which languages to support:

1. Browse available languages
2. Check languages to enable
3. Review translation coverage
4. Confirm selection

Translation Preferences

Configure how translations work:

• Auto-translate on publish — Automatically translate when content is saved
• Manual review required — Require approval before translations go live
• Use translation memory — Reuse previous translations for consistency
• Cache translations — Store translations for faster access

API Key Configuration

If using external translation service:

1. Go to Settings > API Keys
2. Enter your translation service API key
3. Configure rate limits
4. Test connection
